St. Edward's University Athletics

Brother Emmett came to St. Edward’s in 1947 as the manager of the bookstore and the coach of the tennis team for the high school. He later formed a college team for St. Edward’s and went on to win 27 Big State Conference Championships in 34 seasons. He was named Big State Conference Coach of the Year numerous times and advanced the Hilltoppers to the NAIA National Tournament on many occasions. Brother Emmett is deceased.
