Eric Martin was a four-year letterwinner for the Hilltopper baseball team from 1999 to 2002. The Katy, Texas, native, played both catcher and infield and produced a career batting average of .339. He was named Heart of Texas Conference Freshman of the Year. He was also selected all-conference twice, all-region twice and was an Academic All-America selection once. He finished his career second on the all-time list in home runs (40) and total bases (389). He ended up in the Top-10 career list in 10 different categories. Martin was named to the Dean’s List all eight semesters he was on the Hilltop and garnered four conference Honor Roll mentions.
