St. Edward's University Athletics

Mike Canfield, a 1968 graduate of St. Edward’s University, was a four year letter winner in basketball—playing forward and guard. He was Athlete of the Year in 1968, earned  All-Big State Conference for four years, and was listed in Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities in 1968. He was English teacher and head basketball coach at Thomas Jefferson High School in San Antonio. Canfield’s team won the district championship in 1983, and he was named coach of the year.
