McWilliams-Franklin is arguably the most successful Hilltopper Athlete in the history of St. Edward’s Athletics. She lettered three years for the Hilltoppers from 1991 to 1993. During her three years, McWilliams-Franklin was a three-time all-conference honoree, two-time all-district pick and two-time all-America selection. She was also named the NAIA National Player of the Year in 1992-93. She finished her career as the school’s all-time scoring (1,837) and is second in all-time rebounding (950). After college, McWilliams-Franklin has played overseas for the past 18 years. She is also in her 14th season in the WNBA. While in the WNBA, McWilliams-Franklin has been selected to the All-Star team six times. She has also won two WNBA titles: Detroit (2008), Minnesota (2011). She is currently with the Minnesota Lynx as they try to repeat as WNBA Champions in 2012. She is also in her first year as assistant coach for the Rice Women’s Basketball Team. She lives in San Antonio, Texas with her husband Reggie and daughter.
