WACO, Texas - St. Edward's junior pitcher LAUREN SLATTEN keeps making her case for Heartland Conference Pitcher of the Year. On Monday, Slatten notched her fifth Heartland Conference Pitcher of the Week award, as she was named co-winner with Jorden Russell of St. Mary's.

Slatten tossed her second no-hitter in as many weeks, as she defeated Texas A&M-International on Saturday, striking out eight over seven innings. Slatten also picked up a complete-game two-hit shutout win over the Dustdevils in the series opener, striking out seven batters. The junior from Cincinnati went 2-1 with a 3.27 ERA and 24 strikeouts on the week, dropping her lone game to Tarleton State.
