DALLAS, Texas – St. Edward’s goalkeeper Lorrie Santoy was named Heartland Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Wednesday by the conference office for the week of Oct. 1-7. This was Santoy’s second weekly award this year.

Santoy led St. Edward’s (6-4, 2-0 HC) with seven saves including a penalty kick save in the second half to defeat Dallas Baptist on Saturday in double overtime. She continued her shutout play for 72 minutes against Oklahoma Christian on Monday until she was relieved.

For the season, Santoy has produced a 6-4 record in goal with a 0.63 goals-against average. She has tallied 25 saves and a save percentage of .806. She has three shutouts on the season.
