OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - After defeating Dallas Baptist Saturday to start Heartland Conference play, St. Edward's made quick work of Oklahoma Christian Monday afternoon as they defeated the Eagles by a score of 5-1.

The Hilltoppers ended the second half with a flurry of shots and ultimately scored for a fifth time courtesy of
GRACEN JACKS. Jacks chipped it over the goalkeeper from 10 yards out by way of
RIANA SOOBADOO's pass that gave the Hilltoppers the 5-1 victory.
St. Edward's outshot Oklahoma Christian, 27-7, and all five of its goals were assisted by a fellow Hilltopper. Jacks led the way with two goals and one assist on the afternoon while backup goalkeeper
SAMANTHA DIER came away with two saves on the day.
In what was a total team effort", head coach Nick Cowell said, giving praise to several different players for their performance. "
ALLY LINDQUIST did a great job of marshaling the defense,
WHYTNEIGH DUFFIE worked really hard up front and we were excited to see
GRACEN JACKS score her first collegiate goals." Cowell went on to say that, "we need more consistent attitude from our young team. We have periods of play when we are on our game and then we have a couple mental meltdowns. We have the ability to compete for a conference championship, but it will take a much more consistent aggressive attitude."
