PUEBLO, Colo. – The 17
th-ranked St. Edward's Women's Soccer team continued its season-opening success with a 3-0 victory over Colorado St.-Pueblo, Sunday afternoon at Gonzalez Stadium.

SABRINA CONE introduced herself to the South Central Region, as the midfielder scored twice to lead the way. Fellow freshman
MORGAN PALMER added the third goal of the game to cap off the scoring.
In the first half, Cone scored in the 37
th minute, as her goal came on a rebound from a cornerkick. Cone's second tally came in the second half. In the 63
rd minute, St. Edward's had its second cornerkick of the contest. Again, Cone would score off of the service. This time she put the ball off of the post and in.
Palmer ended the scoring in the 87th minute when she received a pass from
LAUREN HELLER and tallied her first collegiate goal.
St. Edward's outshot the Thunderwolves, 12-5.
The Hilltoppers will be back in action Wednesday when they host #7 Western Washington. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at Lewis-Chen Family Field. The matchup is a rematch of the NCAA Elite Eight matchup in 2013 in which the Vikings defeated St. Edward's to end the Hilltoppers' season.
