SEU HIGHLIGHTS
-Senior ELIOTT AZOULAY (71-66=137) came into the final round with a one-stroke lead. The Paris, France native, started hot with birdies on holes one, three, and four. On the ninth hole, Azoulay made a triple bogey, but rebounded to par the back nine and hold on for a one-stroke victory. This is his second career victory as Azoulay won the Newman Fall Invitational last season.
-Senior JAY HOGAN (67-76-71=214) shot a one-under par final round to record a top-10 finish in sixth place. This was the fourth top-10 finish in his Hilltopper career.
-Senior DILLON VAN ESSEN (73-70-74=217) finished tied for 15th place, while senior JOEY HEARN (76-75-70=221) fired a team-low 70 to move up to a tie for 28th place.
-Sophomore ANDREW SPEAR (77-75-74=226) rounded out the lineup in a tie for 49th place.
-Playing as an individual, freshman BRANDON MCKELVEY (71-78-76=225) finished the tourney tied for 44th place.

QUOTES FROM HEAD COACH TODD OHLMEYER
On the play of ELIOTT AZOULAY: "Congrats to Eliott. He played really well all week. He did a great job of not letting that one hole ruin his round. I am very proud of the way he shook that off and shot even on the back nine."

"Joey kept us in it today with his impressive round of 70, but St. Mary's made a couple of huge putts down the stretch to hold on for the victory. We had a goal of shooting the lowest round of the day, which we did, but it just wasn't enough. The best thing to come out of this week is that we got contributions from everyone on the team."

UP NEXT
The Hilltoppers will be back in action Oct. 1-2 when they travel to compete in the Macdonald Cup hosted by Yale. The two-day, 54-hole tourney will take place at The Course at Yale in New Haven, Connecticut.
