SEU HIGHLIGHTS
-Sophomore ANA SOFIA BENAVIDES (76-70=146) and junior JOHANY RIVERA (80-70=150) both shot two-under 70 in Tuesday's final round. Benavides moved up to a tie for seventh place, while Rivera advanced to a tie for 14^th place. Rivera led the Hilltoppers with seven birdies during the tourney, while Benavides was second with six.
-Senior SANDY LIVAS (84-74=158) improved 10 strokes from her first-round score to finish tied for 45^th place. Livas led St. Edward's with 23 pars.
-Senior JESSICA TAMEN (76-80=156) and ISABEL MORALES (82-78=160) rounded out the scoring for the Hilltoppers, finishing tied for 39^th and 52^nd, respectively.

"Today's round was a great comeback for us. The tournament field was extremely tough and filled with last year's national contenders. For us to recover from a 314 and shoot a 292 was exactly the team I know I have. They played with the confidence they should play with every round, and it proved to be fortuitous. We got production out of all five players and that will be the key to our success."
 
On Benavides and Rivera: "Sofi had a great tournament. She picked up right where she left off from last year at regionals, and continues to be a huge piece of our success. Having JoJo (Rivera) back was also a big boost for us. She historically throws in an under-par round and she came through just as I expected."
 
UP NEXT
The Hilltoppers will be back in action Oct. 3-4 when they travel to take part in the Broncho Classic. The two-day event will be held at the Lincoln Park East Golf Club in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
