Final Results

LIVERMORE, Calif. – The St. Edward's men's golf team shot its lowest round of the tournament Tuesday to keep hold of 10^th place at the NDNU Argonaut Invitational.
 
St. Edward's (309-304-298=911) outshot fellow Heartland Conference member Dallas Baptist (305-308-310=923) after the two teams were tied heading into the final day. They also held off a late charge by Colorado School of Mines (306-313-294=913) who finished two shots behind the Hilltoppers.
 
HILLTOPPER NOTES

• Senior DILLON VAN ESSEN (74-78-74=226) led St. Edward's for a second straight day, tallying one birdie and only three bogeys for a two-over par 74. Van Essen finished tied for 29th place.
• Sophomore ANDREW SPEAR (82-73-75=230) led the Hilltoppers with four birdies in the final round and 10 for the tournament. He finished tied for 47th place.
• Senior JOEY HEARN (73-84-74=231) tied for the lowest final round score (74) on the team as he finished tied for 52nd place.

"Definitely an improvement over yesterday, but we have continued to struggle to finish off rounds which was the case today. We were on pace to have one of the best rounds of the day but handed back too many shots. Hopefully, this will be a springboard to a strong finish to our season."
