Final Results
HORSESHOE BAY, Texas – Senior
JOEY HEARN shot a 1-under par, 71, Tuesday to lead St. Edward's men's golf to a second place finish at the Heartland Conference Championship.
St. Edward's (301-284-296=881) kept its second place ranking from Monday, winning a scorecard playoff with Dallas Baptist (297-291-293=881) who ended in third place. St. Mary's (288-294-284=866) won the team championship.
Arkansas-Fort Smith's Zach Partin (70-71-71=212) won medalist honors, while St. Mary's Emilio Gonzalez (71-73-69=213) finished second and Hearn (73-71-71=215) ended third.
HILLTOPPER NOTES
- Hearn collected four birdies and one eagle.
- He led all golfers by shooting 9-under on all Par-5s.
- Hearn's Top-10 finish was his first of the season.
- St. Edward's led the tournament with a 3.07 scoring average on all Par-3s.

The Hilltoppers will wait and see if they are selected to compete in next month's NCAA DII South Central/West Super Regional. St. Edward's was ranked fourth in last week's South Central region poll.
