AUSTIN, Texas – Senior JOEY HEARN and sophomore MATEUS DALLAVECHIA DE COL were both named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District team.
 
Hearn has compiled a 3.65 GPA and is majoring in international business. This season, he finished second on the team with a 74.3 scoring average in 12 events. His best finish came at the Heartland Conference Championship where he captured third place and was named to the All-Tournament team. The Austin, Texas, native was named second-team All-Heartland Conference and was a Dean's List honoree in the fall.
 
Dallavechia de Col has a 3.86 GPA while majoring in economics. He finished the season with 15 wins in singles and 13 wins in doubles. The Caxias do Sul, Brazil, native played primarily No. 3 singles with a record of 9-6, and also went 2-0 on line two. Dallavechia de Col was named second-team All-Heartland Conference and was a Dean's List honoree in fall of 2016.
 
The two selections bring the St. Edward's total to five student-athletes for the 2016-17 academic year. Morgan Beckham (Volleyball), Samuel Jackson (Men's Soccer), and Kevin Leib (Men's Soccer) were all named Academic All-District in the fall semester.
