Box Score AUSTIN, Texas – With a 1-0 win over Oklahoma Christian Thursday afternoon to close the regular season home schedule, the St. Edward's men's soccer team remains at the top of the South Division with a 4-1 in division record with one game remaining.
While neither team was able to find the back of the net in the first half it was anything but an event free frame. The first half was highlighted by multiple breakaways and dangerous looks as SEU took ten shots, four on frame, and three corners while holding OCU to just two shots.
Sophomore
KIERAN FURSE broke the stalemate in the 52nd minute. Furse was tripped in the box, shook off the hard tackle and sent a laser shot just below the crossbar and into the back of net to put the Hilltoppers up 1-0.

MARCUS COLLINS through the heart of the defense. Collins, one-on-one with the keeper, expertly placed the ball away with a curling shot to the near post.
With a 2-0 lead the Hilltopper defense took control and kept Oklahoma Christian's opportunities to a minimum to secure the victory.
SEU dominated every offensive category, posting 17 shots, ten on frame, while allowing just one shot on goal by the Eagles.
St. Edward's improves to 7-8-1 on the year and 6-6-1 in Heartland Conference play. They close the regular season on the road, facing Dallas Baptist on Saturday at 1 pm.
