THE RUNDOWN
AMARILLO, Texas – St. Edward's University's men's golf team placed 23^rd out of 23 teams Tuesday at the NCAA West/South Central Regional Preview hosted by West Texas A&M at the La Paloma Golf Club. The Hilltoppers shot a 625 (313-312) in the 36-hole tournament.
 
The four top finishers for the Hilltoppers finished between a tie for 81^st place and 118^th in the 120-man field.
 
Colorado-Colorado Springs took home the team title with a 574 (282-292) and St. Mary's was the top Heartland Conference finisher with a tie for fifth place.

"Obviously a very disappointing week for us.  After playing so well last week and then following it up with our worst event in 15 plus years is frustrating.  We were in a great spot for regionals heading into this week but that took a significant hit today."

St. Edward's gets a two-week break before playing host to its own St. Edward's Invitational at the Onion Creek Country Club March 26-27.
