THE RUNDOWN
McALLEN, Texas – The St. Edward's University women's golf team placed seventh Tuesday at the UTRGV Invitational at the McAllen Country Club. The Hilltoppers fell from third place with a third-round total of 316. However, SEU was the top Division II finisher in the tournament with Texas A&M-Kingsville taking 12th in a 14-team field that included 11 NCAA Division I schools.

Junior
SAMMY HUANG captured a top-10 finish with a seventh-place finish. Huang shot a 224 (72-75-77) and was just five strokes off the lead. Senior
JOHANY RIVERA tied for 12th place (74-78-77-229), junior
ANAJOSE ERANA tied for 34th (77-77-83-237) and
ANA SOFIA BENAVIDES tied for 53rd (79-82-85).

The Hilltoppers finished with a three-round total of 930 (302-312-316) and it was the team's first 54-hole tournament of the spring season.

HIGHLIGHTS
•
SAMMY HUANG recorded her third top-10 finish of the season, and it was her second consecutive tournament to do so following a tie for fifth Feb. 19-20 at the St. Edward's Invitational.
• SEU's 930 was the best 54-hole tournament total of the season for the Hilltoppers.
• Huang tied for fifth in Par-4 scoring at seven-over par for the tournament in the 74-woman field.

JOHANY RIVERA tied for fifth in Par-5 scoring at one-over par for the tournament.
