IRVING, Texas – The St. Edward's University men's golf team placed seventh in a 14-team field Tuesday at the Dallas Baptist Patriot Classic with junior
ANDREW SPEAR leading the Hilltoppers with a fourth-place finish.

Spear finished four-over par with a 220 (70-75-75) at Irving's Hackberry Creek Country Club, and it was the second-highest individual finish of his career next to a 3
rd-place finish at the Heartland Conference Championship his freshman season in 2016.

The Hilltoppers gained one spot from round two to round three moving up from eighth and finished with a 907 (302-304-301). NAIA Texas Wesleyan took the tournament by 11 strokes with an 883. Central Missouri (894), Rogers State (894), St. Mary's (900), Texas A&M-Commerce (905) and the hosts, Dallas Baptist (906) finished second through sixth, respectively.

ANDREW SPEAR's fourth-place finish was his best since April 17-19 when he tied for third at the Heartland Conference Championships.
• Spear's first-round 70 was his third-lowest round of the season.
• Spear eagled the Par 5, 523-yard Hole No. 10 in round three for the Hilltoppers' only eagle of the tournament.
