AUSTIN – SARAH PRESTON found the back of the net in the 89th minute to lead No. 2 seed St. Edward's to a 1-0 victory over seventh-seeded Texas A&M-Commerce in the quarterfinals of the Lone Star Conference Tournament on Tuesday afternoon at Lewis-Chen Family Field.

SARAH GUNDERSON's assist to score the only goal of the contest.
JULIA SPIELMANN flicked the ball ahead into space and Gunderson ran on to it. She then raced around a defender before playing a centering pass to Preston, who one touched the ball into the far corner.
The Hilltoppers (12-5-2) posted a 21-3 advantage in shot attempts and controlled the possession for most of the contest.
Meanwhile, the Lions (10-8-1) were allowed only three shots, but none were on target.
ANNABEL SWEENEY picked up her fifth shutout of the season, despite not having to make a save in the match.
St. Edward's will face No. 3 seed Lubbock Christian in the semifinals on Friday in Dallas. The Lady Chaps won a penalty-kick shootout, 5-4, against sixth-seeded Angelo State to advance to play the Hilltoppers. The contest will kick off at 7:30 p.m. on Dallas Baptist's campus.
