MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The 38th-ranked Auburn-Montgomery men's tennis team handed No. 26 St. Edward's a 5-2 setback on Friday at the AUM Tennis Complex.
 
The Warhawks (5-5) snapped a two-game skid with the non-conference victory. Meanwhile, the Hilltoppers (11-5) finished their Alabama road trip with a 1-1 record.
 
Auburn-Montgomery swept doubles action to claim the early point. The Warhawks then pulled upsets of three ranked Hilltoppers in singles play and took four of the six matchups to close out the contest.
 
St. Edward's picked up its two points at Nos. 4 and 6 singles.
 
GABRIEL ZUNIGA improved to 13-2 this year with a straight-sets win at the fourth position. Zuniga tallied a 6-2, 6-2 decision to earn his fifth consecutive win.
 
LOGAN BUIGNET pushed his winning streak in singles play to eight. The senior from Paris, France, downed his opponent in straight sets (6-4, 6-2) as well.
 
The Hilltoppers will head back to Texas for a contest against Midwestern State. The match is scheduled for 12 p.m. on Friday, March 29, in Wichita Falls.
