LAWTON, Okla. – The St. Edward's men's tennis team ended its season with a 4-0 loss at No. 13 Cameron in the NCAA Division II South Central Region Championship on Sunday at the Streich-Henry Family Tennis Complex.
The Aggies (19-4) claimed the doubles point after winning two of three matchups.
MATEUS DE COL and
CHASE MOREHOUSE picked up the Hilltoppers' only win on the courts, as the duo posted a 6-4 victory at the third doubles position.
However, after clinching the doubles point, Cameron then earned victories at Nos. 2, 3 and 6 singles to win the match. The Aggies also earned a spot in the upcoming NCAA Division II Championship.
St. Edward's wrapped up its season with a 19-7 overall record. The Hilltoppers won seven of its final eight matches. St. Edward's also won both the Heartland Conference regular-season and tournament championships for the second straight season, while sweeping all of the league's individual superlative honors.
