SAN ANTONIO – St. Edward's men's golf had a preview of the Lone Star Conference Championship as they competed in the St. Mary's Rattler Invite and had a strong showing, finishing tied for third with 897 strokes.
St. Mary's won the tournament with a team score of 888 and Oklahoma Christian finished second with 893 strokes.
CLAYTON KING closed the day with a 74 to finish in sixth place overall with 221 strokes. He led SEU with 36 pars and added seven birdies for the tournament.
BEN CONSTANCIO posted a top ten finish as well, ending the day tied for ninth with 224 strokes with one eagle.
RYAN MCGINLEY and
JAKE LIVERMORE finished with 227 strokes to come in tied for 21
st. McGinley led the Hilltoppers with eight birdies while McGinley posted seven.
AUSTIN COTTON ended with 238 strokes.
CARLOS TERCERO finished tied for 14
th playing as an individual, posting a 225 for the tournament while
MATTHEW ADAMS closed the weekend with a 245.
St. Edward's heads out-of-state to compete in the Las Vegas Desert Classic on March 1 - 3.
