The Chaps broke through in the 62nd minute on a feed from Nicolo Tocco to Nako Amare for the goal. Less than a minute later, Amare found Saimon Gjeci for the insurance goal.
Zabek finished with four shots, including one on goal, to lead the team. Gullion had three saves. The Hilltoppers finished with an 18-12 advantage in shots taken, though both teams put five attempts on goal. The Hilltoppers also had a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks.
St. Edward's drops to 0-10-5 with the loss, including 0-5-3 in conference play. The Hilltoppers will close out the regular season on the road against West Texas A&M on Wednesday.
