The St. Edward's athletics department welcomes Georgina German as its new Facility and Events Coordinator.
German will manage the day-to-day operations and maintenance of all athletic facilities and coordinate and supervise game day event management.
"We're excited to welcome Georgina to the Hilltop as the facility and events coordinator," Associate Vice President for Athletics Debbie Taylor says. "She has a wealth of experience and a strong passion for the student-athlete experience."
German joins St. Edward's after serving as Southwestern's assistant women's basketball coach from 2015-2023, developing multiple all-conference post players. She also managed and coordinate all gameday events.
Before Southwestern, German served as the Director of Athletic Development at The HIT Center of Jacksonville, directing and assisting in designing NFL Combine training programs. She's coached and trained NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA athletes in multiple sports and over 50 athletes from the NFL, NBA, MLB, Women's Tennis Association, Moto Cross, and MMA. She also designed and implemented training protocols for the City of Jacksonville police and fire departments.
German received her Bachelor of Arts in Adult Fitness from Marshall University, where she was a member of the women's basketball team from 1998-2000. She received her Associate of Arts degree from Central Arizona College, where she competed in basketball and track and field from 1996-1998 and was an NJCAA National Basketball Champion and NJCAA National Track and Field Champion.
