Hilltoppers Earn No. 2 Seed, Set to Host LSC Men's Soccer Semifinal at Lewis-Chen Family Field

| By:
AUSTIN, Texas — The Lone Star Conference released its 2025 LSC Men's Soccer Championship field, with the St. Edward's Hilltoppers earning the No. 2 seed after defeating West Texas A&M 1-0 on Wednesday night.

St. Edward's surged up the conference standings by winning five of its final seven league matches, splitting the other two with a draw and a loss. The strong finish secured a first-round bye and a well-earned weekend of rest before postseason play begins.

The Hilltoppers will host the winner of Saturday's quarterfinal match between Lubbock Christian and West Texas A&M on Wednesday, November 12, at 7:00 p.m. under the lights at Lewis-Chen Family Field.

Top-seeded Midwestern State, ranked No. 8 nationally, sits on the opposite side of the bracket and will host the winner of the DBU and UT Tyler quarterfinal. The Lone Star Conference Championship will be hosted by the highest remaining seed on Saturday, November 15, with the match time to be announced.

The tournament champion will earn the league's automatic bid to the 2025 NCAA Division II Championship. The NCAA regional selection show is scheduled for Nov. 17 at 6 p.m. CT on NCAA.com. Following the opening rounds (Nov. 21 and 23), regional finals (Nov. 30), and national quarterfinals (Dec. 6), the national semifinals and final will be held Dec. 12 and 14 at Weidner Field in Colorado Springs, Colo.

All matches of the LSC Championship will stream live on FloCollege, with monthly and yearly subscriptions available.
Note: New conference member UT Dallas (22 points) and Sul Ross State (11 points) are ineligible for postseason play due to their NCAA Division II provisional status.
