The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its 2022 NCAA Cross Country All-Academic Teams, listing St. Edward's men's and women's cross country among the recipients. 
 
IVAN GUZMAN, OMAR GUZMAN, and MIA RIVERA also earned USTFFCAA All-Academic Athlete honors. 
 
All-Academic Team recipients must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, and compile a team score at their regional championships meet, among other qualifiers. St. Edward's men produced a 3.65 team GPA and finished ninth at the NCAA South Central Regional. St. Edward's women recorded a 3.66 team GPA and placed No. 17 at Regionals.
 
Individual All-Academic honors require a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top 30 percent of their regional championship meet, among other qualifiers. OMAR GUZMAN and IVAN GUZMAN placed 36th and 50th at the Regional. The brothers both turned in All-Conference performances at the LSC Championships. OMAR GUZMAN was one of two Hilltoppers who earned LSC All-Academic Honors. Rivera broke St. Edward's women's 6K record. 
 
This is the first time the men and women have both won individual All-Academic Athlete honors.
