LAWTON, Okla. – St. Edward's dropped two games to Cameron to open its Oklahoma road trip. 
 
Game 1: Cameron 10, St. Edward's 2
 
St. Edward's committed six errors and surrendered seven runs over the final two innings of a 10-2 loss to the Cameron Aggies. 
 
The Hilltoppers scored the game's first two runs in the second inning. Cameron's starter Stormee Reed hit CIANA RODRIGUEZ to open the inning, and RYAN RANGEL singled to right field. SOFIA APONTE moved both into scoring position with a sacrifice bunt, then KATIE DILLON reached on a fielder's choice, loading the bases.
 
ARIANNA VIDALES drove Rodriguez in with an infield single, and ELLA HUTZLER drew a walk to score the second run.
 
An error and walk put two Aggies on in the third, and Kaiden Boren tied the game with a two-RBI double up the middle. A second error in the inning plated a third run. 
 
St. Edward's committed two more errors in the fifth, allowing four more runs, then two errors and a wild pitch for three more runs in the sixth. 
 
Game 2: Cameron 5, St. Edward's 3
St. Edward's surrendered three runs in the bottom of the seventh of a 5-3 loss to the Cameron Aggies.
 
The Hilltoppers scored three runs in the top of the third. LAUREN HOYT drew a walk, and Hutzler singled up the middle, setting up SLOANE HILL's two-RBI double through the left side. Rangel added an RBI single later in the inning. 
 
Three of Cameron's first four hitters singled to start the third, scoring on Gardella's RBI single up the middle. Kyndel McDaniel added another on a sacrifice fly. St. Edward's loaded the bases in the fourth, leaving all three runners stranded. 
 
Madysen Boutwell ended the game with a walk-off, two-RBI double in the seventh. 
 
St. Edward's drops to 25-23 with a 19-19 conference record. The Hilltoppers will play Oklahoma Christian on Friday.
