Men's Soccer Unveils 2025 Schedule

AUSTIN, Texas – St. Edward's men's soccer announces its 2025 season schedule, opening with a four-game homestand to kick off its third season since the program's revival in 2023, and 40 years since men's soccer started at the Hilltop in 1985. 
 
Men's soccer hosts Delta State on Thursday, September 4 at 7:00 p.m. for the program's first game under the new lights at Lewis-Chen Family Field, followed by another 7:00 p.m. kickoff on Saturday, September 6, when the Hilltoppers host Mississippi College. 
 
The following week, St. Edward's hosts a pair of Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference teams, facing Fort Lewis College on Thursday, September 11, at 7:00 p.m., and MSU-Denver on Saturday, September 14, at noon. Fort Lewis finished last season ranked sixth nationally in the United Soccer Coaches' poll. 
 
St. Edward's closes September out with two big road trips, traveling to Tahlequah, Oklahoma, on Thursday, September 18, to play Northeastern State University, followed by September 24 and 26 games in Washington state to play Western Washington and Seattle Pacific University to close out non-conference play. 
 
St. Edward's opens Lone Star Conference play on the road against the defending LSC Champion Midwestern State Mustangs on Wednesday, October 1. The Hilltoppers split the two games last season, winning 5-0 at home and falling 3-1 in the LSC semifinals. The Mustangs finished the season No. 10 in the USC National Rankings. 
 
Men's soccer hosts Lubbock Christian for its conference home opener on Saturday, October 4, and travels to Alpine, Texas, for a midweek contest against Sul Ross State on October 8. 
 
St. Edward's hosts this year's Battle of the Saints against St. Mary's on Saturday, October 11, at 7:00 p.m., for men's soccer Alumni Weekend. 
 
After back-to-back weeks on the road at Texas A&M International and Oklahoma Christian, the Hilltoppers celebrate Senior Day against UT Tyler on Saturday, October 25, at 5:00 p.m., followed by the program's annual Breast Cancer Awareness Game on Wednesday, October 29, at 7:00 p.m. 
 
Following a road game at DBU, the Hilltoppers close the regular season with a Faculty and Staff Appreciation Game against West Texas A&M on Wednesday, November 5. The Hilltoppers posted an 8-6-4 record last season, including a 5-2-3 conference record, which earned head coach Brian Young the LSC Coach of the Year Award.
