AUSTIN, Texas — The Lone Star Conference announced its Week 1 Men's Soccer Player of the Week awards Monday, naming St. Edward's senior TIMMY HOLLENBECK the Defensive Player of the Week after helping the Hilltoppers open the season unbeaten.

Hollenbeck anchored a St. Edward's back line that surrendered only one goal across two matches, including a road shutout of No. 20 Cal State Dominguez Hills. He played all 90 minutes in the Hilltoppers' 3-0 upset victory, limiting the Toros to 10 shots and four on goal.

The senior defender also helped hold Texas A&M International to seven shots in a season-opening 1-1 draw. Hollenbeck was off the field when the Dustdevils scored their lone goal of the match.

St. Edward's travels to Colorado this week to face Fort Lewis on Thursday at 8 p.m. CT.
