Junior (2012-13): Competed in 37 rounds for the Hilltoppers in his first season…the 37 rounds were tied for most on the team…scored a (73-76=149) for a third place finish at the St. Edward’s Invitational…finished seventh at the UALR/First Tee Classic shooting a (75-83-71=229)…earned a ninth place finish at the Heartland Conference Tournament with a score of (81-74-73=228)…averaged a score of 75.54, which was third best on the team…compiled a 629-336 win-loss record.
 
Sophomore (UT Arlington) (2011-12): Appeared in three tournaments totaling eight rounds for the Mavericks…had a stroke average of 76.63…best finish was a tie for 13th place at the St. Edward’s Individual. ?
 
Freshman (UT Arlington) (2010-11): Appeared in two tournaments totaling six rounds for the Mavericks…had a stroke average of 76.55…best finish was a tie for 52^nd place at the Jim West Intercollegiate. ?
 
Prep: Played four years of golf at Incarnate Word Academy in Corpus Christi, Texas…won 11 high school tournaments from 2006-2010 seasons…named a TAPPS 4A All-State golfer during the 2007, 2009, and 2010 seasons…helped his team finish second place at the 2010 TAPPS 4A State Golf Tournament…was a member of the cross country team that won state two years in a row…member of the National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta. ?
 
Personal: Brian Lee Smith was born on August 8, 1991…son of Lee and Sarah Smith of Corpus Christi, Texas…has one sibling: Kevin (18)…studying accounting at St. Edward’s with career hopes of becoming a CPA…enjoys being outdoors, fishing and listening to country music…his biggest athletic thrill is qualifying for and competing in the 2012 U.S. Amateur Golf Championship.
