Redshirt Sophomore (2013): Played in all 22 games, starting in 16 of them…totaled 1,130 minutes…scored seven goals, managed seven assists and tallied 21 points on the year…in her opening game for the Hilltoppers against Southern Nazarene (9/6) she racked up three goals.
Sophomore (2012): Redshirted the season due to injury.
Freshman (2011): Played in a total of 12 matches while starting six for the Hilltoppers…recorded 410 minutes of play during the season…tallied three total points on one goal and one assist…her lone goal came against Washburn (9/4/11)…had 14 shots on the season with eight reaching the goal for a SOG% of .571.
Club: Coached by Pat O’Toole of the Challenge Soccer Club…Toole recalls “her biggest strength being her pace and determination to beat defenders and score goals”.
Prep: Played four years of soccer at Cy-Fair High School…was named to the state Olympic Development Program team in 2008, 2009, and 2010…voted as the Cy-Fair High Rookie of the year in 2008…top drawer soccer player to watch and #16 in the region in 2009…was an all-district forward in 2008, 2009, and 2011…was the 2011 district offensive player of the year…chosen to be on the all-state academic team…graduated cum laude from Cy-Fair High School…she was a member of the Cy-Fair French Club.
Personal: Cailyn Marie Trapani was born on Jan. 20, 1993…daughter of Joseph and Karen Trapani of Cypress, Texas…has one sibling: Nick (27)…currently studying business with a concentration in marketing at St. Edward’s…her goal in life is aspiring to be a Beyonce back-up dancer…her hobbies include singing Justin Bieber classics and working on her hip-hop dance moves…her biggest athletic thrill is helping teammate Megan Anderson finish all her leftovers.
