Junior (2011): Started in 11 matches while recording minutes in 12 for the Hilltoppers…recorded 736 minutes in his third season on the Hilltop…totaled 12 points on the year with five goals and two assists…scored two goals (9/16/11) against UT-Permian Basin.
 
Sophomore (2010): Competed in all 18 matches while starting in 14…compiled a total of 1,269 minutes throughout the season…recorded seven points with two goals and three assists…helped his team to a 6-2 conference record.
 
Freshman (2009): Appeared in 14 games while starting five for the Hilltoppers…recorded two points on the year by scoring one goal…his lone goal came against SEU-rival St. Mary’s during the last match of the year (11/08/09).
 
Club: Was apart of the Dallas Texans Football Club.
 
Prep: Played his high school soccer at Coppell High School for four seasons.
 
Personal: John Richard Ellis III was born on Sept. 30, 1990…finance major at St. Edwards University...son of Rick and Joanna Ellis of Coppell, Texas…has one sibling: Phillip Ellis, who is currently an SEU soccer player…currently studying finance at St. Edwards.
