Junior (2013-14): Had an overall singles record of 18-10 and a doubles record of 16-9…he was undefeated in Heartland Conference play (6-0).
Sophomore (2012-13): Recorded an 8-15 singles record in his second season on the Hilltop…defeated Kyle Funk of Colin County CC (03/09/13), 6-2, 6-3…recorded another signature victory against Alex Infante of Laredo CC (03/28/13), 6-4, 6-1…topped a duo from Incarnate Word (10/10/12), 8-6 with teammate Jacob Belanger as his doubles partner…he and partner Alexandre Bueno defeated a team from Dallas Baptist (02/22/13), 8-3…finished with a doubles record of 2-9.
Freshman (2011-12): In his first season at St. Edward’s he finished with an overall record of 2-3 and a doubles record of 5-4…defeated Michael Ortiz of St. Mary’s, 6-0, 6-0…had a great outing on March 21 as he and his doubles partner, Alexandre Bueno defeated their opponents from Cameron.
Prep: Attended the AESA Prep Academy in Austin, Texas…was actively involved by serving as the senior class president…graduated as the salutatorian.
Personal: Aadrian Nathniel Garza was born on March 17, 1993…son of Rick and Barbara Garza of Austin, Texas…has two siblings: Sean (32) and Michael (21)…Michael is Adrian’s twin brother and was on the men’s tennis team the past two seasons…currently studying biology with career hopes of becoming a doctor…enjoys singing in the shower.
