Linsey Montgomery joined St. Edward's cross country and track and field coaching staff in July of 2024.
Montgomery has track and field experience across multiple divisions, including stops at the University of Oregon and Multnomah University over the past three years. She bolsters a coaching staff that is adding an indoor track and field season to its cross-country and outdoor track and field schedule.
Before St. Edward's, Montgomery served as the assistant track and field coach and director of operations coordinator for Multnomah University. She specialized in short and long sprints for the men's and women's teams and managed logistics for recruiting visits and travel. There, she coached 18 outdoor and two Indoor All-Americans, a USATF U20 qualifier and finalist in the women's 200m (placing seventh), the Cascade Conference's 4x1 record-breakers (39.88, fifth in NAIA history), and the Men's West Region Indoor Track Athlete of the Year.
In her last season at Multnomah, she helped eight individuals and one relay team qualify for NAIA nationals. The men and women combined for seven individual event conference championships and set three Cascade Conference records.
The previous year, she served as Multnomah University's sports information director, senior women's leader, and assistant track and field coach for the sprints, hurdles, and jumps programs. She had six athletes qualify for the NAIA indoor nationals and 14 outdoor national qualifiers.
Montgomery served as a volunteer assistant track and field coach for the University of Oregon for the 2021-22 academic year, assisting with hurdles, jumps, and sprints for the men's and women's PAC-12 outdoor track and field champions.
From 2017 through 2019, Montgomery worked as an assistant track and field coach for the Randolph Roadrunner Club in San Antonio, Texas, a strength and conditioning intern with Redline Athletics, and an assistant track and field coach for the YMCA in Dallas, Texas.
Montgomery received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Dallas Baptist University in December 2020.
