Freshman (2011-12): Played in four events, totaling 11 rounds…had an 80.6 stroke average…finished a season-best tied for 24th at the St. Edward’s Individual.
Prep: Played four years of golf at Friendswood High School…named the Friendswood High School golfer of the year in 2009 and 2010…voted to the all-district team three times in his four years in high school…was the varsity golf captain in 2010 and 2011…helped his team to win three district championships from 2008-2010…member of the National Honor Society, Interact Club and the Latin Club.
Personal: Corey Eduardo Hayford was born on Jan. 10, 1993…son of Timothy and Cynthia Hayford of Friendswood, Texas…has two siblings: Brandon (27) and Abbey (15)…plans to study Environment Science and Policy with career plans of becoming the CEO of an Alternative Energy Company…enjoys playing tennis, attending class, and listening to live music…his biggest athletic thrill was holing a 15-foot putt to win the High School 4A Regional Championship by seven strokes.
