Tyson Wahl joined the Hilltoppers’ coaching staff in the spring of 2017.

Tyson was born and raised in Newport Beach, CA. After playing soccer for the U17 Youth National Team, he went on to be a four-year starter and All-American at Cal Berkeley. Upon graduation, Tyson was drafted to the Kansas City Wizards in the 2006 Major League Soccer Draft.

Tyson had an 11-year Major League Soccer career and played for five teams during that time (Kansas City Wizards, Seattle Sounders, Montreal Impact, Colorado Rapids, and the Columbus Crew).

With his playing days over, he is a full-time coach and Director for the Austin Texans Soccer Club. He resides in South Austin with his wife, Alli and French Bulldog, Oliver.
