St. Edward's University Athletics

Blanchard joined the St. Edward's athletics staff in Aug. 2022 with six years of experience in collegiate athletics. Since joining the Hilltop, Blanchard has expanded the Sports Information student worker staff and media capabilities, served as athletics' primary graphic designer, and won the 2025 Fred Stabley Jr. Writing Contest District Award. 

Before St. Edward's, Blanchard served as Athletics Communications Director for Southwestern University for four years, and the Sports Information Director for Salem University in Salem, West Virginia, for the 2017-18 school year and as a sports information assistant at his alma mater, Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas, during the 2016-17 school year. Blanchard received his bachelor's degree in communication arts in 2006.

Blanchard also has eight years of experience covering the NBA for a variety of outlets, including three years as editor-in-chief of BBALLBREAKDOWN and a year as an editor at The Cauldron during its affiliation with Sports Illustrated. In addition, he was a credentialed writer covering the San Antonio Spurs from 2010-2014 for ESPN's TrueHoop Network, writing the book Dynasty: The San Antonio Spurs' Timeless 2014 Championship.
