Meghan Mullin was promoted to head coach of the St. Edward’s softball program prior to the 2017 season after serving as assistant coach for the 2015 and 2016 seasons.
 
In Mullin’s first season at the helm, the Hilltoppers posted a winning 11-10 mark against Heartland Conference opponents and finished at 19-33 overall. Mullin saw Alex Mayfield garner First-Team All-Heartland Conference honors in her first season as head coach while Lauren Slatten, Kayla Appleby and Ashley Nassy all earned second-team honors.

During Mullin’s stint as an assistant coach at SEU, the Hilltoppers compiled a 53-46 record. She also served as the graduate assistant coach in 2011 and 2012.
 
In between her stints at SEU, Mullin spent two years as assistant coach at her alma mater, Seton Catholic Preparatory High School in Chandler, Arizona. She also taught theology and worked as an assistant in the counseling center, and in campus ministry.
 
As a player, Mullin lettered four seasons for the Nebraska Cornhuskers under head coach Rhonda Revelle. She ranks 14th all-time on the Cornhuskers career batting average list at .329 with 176 career hits. She finished seventh all-time at Nebraska with 54 stolen bases. Her junior year, she was named second-team all-Big 12. In her senior campaign in 2009, Mullin was named the team’s most valuable player and was a CoSIDA Academic All-District selection. She was named to the All-Big 12 Academic Team each season she was eligible, and she was a team captain her sophomore through senior years.
 
Mullin earned her bachelor degree in history from Nebraska in 2010, with a minor in Religious Studies and Philosophy. She earned a master’s degree in Liberal Arts from St. Edward's in 2013.
