Lauren Slatten was named Heartland Conference Pitcher of the Week for the third time this season.

Slatten was outstanding on the mound this week for the Hilltoppers. The junior righthander went 1-1 on the week with a save and a 1.08 ERA. She allowed just two hits in a complete-game victory over Panhandle State in the series opener. In game two of the series, Slatten tossed 2.2 innings of hitless relief to pick up her second save of the season. Game three saw Slatten throw 4.2 innings of relief in which she produced nine strikeouts. Her only loss of the week was a tough one as she allowed just one unearned run against #1 West Texas A&M in a 1-0 loss. She struck out nine Lady Buff batters in the process. For the week, Slatten allowed just 12 hits, while punching out 26 batters in 19.1 innings of work. Slatten leads the Heartland Conference in ERA (2.16), innings pitched (123.0) and strikeouts (136).
