The Magnolia, Texas native became only the third pitcher in the Heartland Conference, and fifth in the South Central Region to throw a complete-game, nine-inning shutout this season to claim his first pitcher of the week award. He scattered four hits, surrendered no walks, and struck out 10 Rogers State batters. Stanton carried a perfect game into the fifth inning before giving up his first hit. The senior now ranks second in the Heartland in innings-pitched and third in strikeouts, with an overall record of 6-1.
