Frei shattered St. Edward's record in the 6,000 meters by eight seconds Saturday at the Wes Cook/George Fox Invitation in Oregon. She finished eighth in 23:13.7. Frei’s mile pace of 6:14 per-mile broke the record previously held by former all-Heartland Conference runner Katy Gillis.
