DALLAS, Texas – Senior ENRIQUE LIVAS was named Heartland Conference Men's Golf Player of the Week on Wednesday for the week of October 2–8. Livas is the first Hilltopper to win a player of the week honor this year.
 
Livas finished 10th at the Macdonald Cup hosted by Yale University in New Haven, Conn. St. Edward's finished third in the event behind the University of Illinois and Yale. The Hilltoppers were the only DII team in a field that included last year's DI runner up, Illinois (four starters returning from last year's championship), and Yale University who has already won one tournament this year. Livas was the low man for the team firing rounds of 70-69-70 for a total of 209. His final round included making a birdie putt from 40 feet out on the 18^th hole. Livas was fourth in the field with 13 birdies and was two under par on the six par-fives.
