St. Edward's senior Sarah Debrow was named Heartland Conference Pitcher of the Week for the week of March 2-8. This was her first award of the season and eighth of her career on the Hilltop.
Debrow was instrumental in two of the three wins over Oklahoma Christian for the Hilltoppers' conference-opening series this past weekend. In game one, she allowed two runs (one earned) on eight hits, while striking out four in 8.0 innings of work. In the final game of the series, Debrow went 9.0 innings, allowing one run on seven hits, while striking out four batters. After starting the season 1-2, Debrow has rattled off wins in nine of her last 10 starts.
