Slatten was outstanding in the circle for the Hilltoppers as the team went 5-1 on the week. She was a perfect 3-0 with a 0.64 ERA. She struck out 24 batters in just 22.0 innings of work. In a doubleheader against TAMU-Kingsville, Slatten picked up the win in both games. She went 8.0 innings in game one, with a career-high 11 strikeouts for the win in extra innings. She followed that with a win in three innings of relief in game two, allowing just one hit and striking out four.
