Hilltopper Women's Basketball adds Lange to coaching staff

AUSTIN, Texas - St. Edward's women's basketball coach Jennifer White is pleased to announce the addition of Brittany Lange as the new graduate assistant coach for the Hilltoppers.

Lange comes to the Hilltop after serving as a student assistant coach at Iowa State for the previous two seasons. She helped lead the team to the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight in 2009 and the NCAA Sweet 16 in 2010. Lange was also a Strength and Conditioning intern for the Iowa State women's basketball team in 2010.

"This is the first time that our graduate assistant has come from another university besides St. Edward's, so we are excited about the different perspective she will bring with her," St. Edward's head coach Jennifer White said. "The things that she has experienced and accomplished are very impressive. She is going to be a great fit for our program."

Lange was a member of the Cyclones as a player from 2006-08. She helped the Cyclones advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 2007 and 2008. She was named a scholar-athlete in both of those years, and was also on the Dean's list.

"I am very excited about working here at St. Edward's," Lange said. "I would like to thank Coach White and the University's administration for giving me the opportunity to continue coaching."

A native of Sac City, Iowa, Lange graduated with a bachelor's of science degree in Kinesiology from Iowa State in May of 2010.

She plans to gain her master's degree in Sport Management from St. Edward's in 2012.
