How it happened (Round 3)
-JOSE HERNANDEZ earned a top-5 finish, shooting a 71 during the third round of play. He finished his previous two rounds shooting a 74 in each.
-ANDRES RODAS recorded a second round score of 73 and a third round score of 75 for three round total of 221 and a seventh place finish.
-DREW BELL and BRIAN SMITH both finished with a third round score of 73. Bell finished tied for 13^th while Smith finished tied for the 15^th spot.
-ENRIQUE LIVAS rounded out the Hilltoppers shooting a 75 in the final round. He finished with a three round total of 228. That score was good enough to earn him a tie for the 20^th spot.
 
Beyond the Box Score
-The Hilltoppers recorded a second round score of 294. The second round was postponed during the first day of action for winds in excess of 60 mph.
-This is the first time all season that the Hilltoppers have had their entire team finish in top-20. The field consisted of 13 teams and 72 golfers.
-ANDRES RODAS and JOSE HERNANDEZ finished in a tie for most pars during the 54-hole event with 37. They finished in a tie with Jeffrey Juillerat of Dallas Baptist.
-ENRIQUE LIVAS finished the tournament in second place in par-3 scoring completing the tournament with a +1 score for all par-3 holes. Teammate JOSE HERNANDEZ finished second in par-4 scoring shooting a +2 on all par-4 holes.
-As a team, the Hilltoppers finished first amongst all competitors for par-3 scoring. They also finished first making 168 pars in the tournament.
-The Hilltoppers beat fellow Heartland Conference member Dallas Baptist by 25 strokes. The two schools will meet next week at the Heartland Conference Tournament host by the Patriots.

The Hilltoppers will be back in action on April 22 as the travel to Dallas, Texas to compete in the Heartland Conference Tournament. The two-day event will take place at the Golf Club of Dallas.
