GOODWELL, Okla. – The St. Edward's volleyball team made quick work of Oklahoma Panhandle State defeating them 3-0 Saturday morning at Oscar Williams Fieldhouse. The Hilltoppers winning streak now stands at eight and they are tied atop the Heartland Conference standings with Arkansas-Fort Smith. 
St. Edward's (8-0, 4-0 HC) made its offensive presence known from the first set. It registered a hitting percentage of .447 with 20 kills. Although the Aggies tied up the score, 13-13, they could not hold on as the Hilltoppers ran away with a 25-17 win. 
The second and third sets saw outstanding Hilltopper defense. St. Edward's allowed only nine points in each set. Panhandle State (0-10, 0-5 HC) was held to hitting percentages of -.083 and -.062, respectively. 
The Hilltopper victory was a team effort as Hannah Rauch and Katie Martin both tallied 10 kills each. Mary Koehler and Elissa Stanton recorded eight kills of their own. Koehler also led the team in digs with nine, while Loren Kelly had 21 assists.
"This was a tough road test," head coach Sean Donahue said. "Even though we took away three victories, it cost us. We are looking forward to the next couple of weeks where we get to see the top of the conference and our next challenge."
