TURNING POINT
-With just seconds remaining in the first half, St. Edward's used a three-man game inside the Roadrunner penalty box, working the ball around and past the Metro State goalkeeper. Senior JOSH TAYLOR got the goal, while sophomore DYLAN ARMSTRONG and freshman PARKER FYFE picked up the assists.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-With the goal just before halftime, St. Edward's used that momentum to completely shut down the Roadrunners in the second half.
-After only holding a 6-5 advantage in shots in the first half, St. Edward's buckled down and outshot Metro State, 9-3, in the second frame.
-The Hilltoppers put the game away in 70th minute when junior GRANT MOBLEY drove down the right side to the end line and cut a pass back to Armstrong. The forward was true with his shot for a 2-0 lead.

SEU HIGHLIGHTS
-While only playing 36 minutes, Armstrong had a hand in both goals as he collected an assist on the first goal and notched his first goal of the season for the second tally.
-Taylor scored the game winner for St. Edward's. Coupled with last season, Taylor has four goals with two of them deciding the game.
-KEVIN LEIB and the defense notched a shutout in this season opener. Last season the Hilltoppers led the nation in team shutout percentage, while only allowing 10 goals in 20 matches.
