THE RUNDOWN

AUSTIN, Texas – It came in a loss, but junior outside hitter KATE HENDRIX collected the first triple-double in St. Edward's volleyball history Saturday in a 25-18, 25-20, 16-25, 19-25, 15-12 loss to Lubbock Christian at the RCC.

Hendrix set a career high with 10 blocks, tied a career-high with 15 kills and added 14 digs in the losing effort for the Hilltoppers (15-10, 5-6). LCU solidified third place in the Heartland Conference standings with the win, improving to 10-16 overall and 7-5 in league play.

The Hilltoppers were down two sets to none, and battle back with wins in sets three and four, but could not overcome 11 kills from the Lady Chaps in the final set. KATIE MARTIN recorded 21 kills for the second-consecutive match in the loss for SEU while OLIVIA ROME and JULIA HARTLEY each had double-doubles to compliment Hendrix's big match.
