Final Results
AUSTIN –
The St. Edward's women's golf team knocked off 10 strokes from its day one total to finish eighth Tuesday in the St. Edward's Invitational at Onion Creek Country Club.
The Hilltoppers (310-300=610) shot 20-over par in the final round as they tied for the third-lowest round of the day. The field contained six teams ranked in the National Top 25.
HILLTOPPER NOTES
- Junior JOHANY RIVERA (77-73=150) knocked off four strokes from her Monday score and moved up 16 spots to finish tied for 19th place.
- Senior JESSICA TAMEN (79-75=154) also moved up 16 spots and finished tied for 29th.
- Senior SANDY LIVAS (76-79=155) and sophomore ANA SOFIA BENAVIDES (78-77=155) both tied for 33rd place.
- ISABEL MORALES (82-75=155) rounded out the scoring tied for 40th place.
- Playing as an individual, freshman ANAJOSE ERANA (77-72=149) was the top finisher for St. Edward's in 13th place.

"This was more like the team I see play every single day. I think they were nervous on day one. When you play against competition as good as this, you can't have a bad round. The conditions were too perfect yesterday not to score."

The Hilltoppers will be back in action March 13-14 for the Midwestern State Invitational at the Wichita Falls Country Club.
