RUSSELVILLE, Ark. – St. Edward's University handed Ouachita Baptist a five-set loss Friday afternoon but fell in three sets to undefeated Arkansas Tech in the morning, splitting matches to open Tech's Holiday Inn Express Volleyball Tournament.
The Hilltoppers handed OBU just its second loss of the season (8-2) with a 19-25, 25-16, 25-19, 24-26, 15-11 victory behind a .196 hitting mark.
ALEXA MCANDREW tied a career high with 19 kills on a .279 hitting mark, while
MIKAYLA PARKER tied a career high with 10 total blocks to bolster the Hilltoppers' defensive effort.
In match one, Arkansas Tech's defense held SEU to a negative -.009 hitting percentage while its offense hit .257 to take the match 25-18, 25-13, 25-14.

MIKAYLA PARKER matched her career high with 10 total blocks (one solo); the last time she had 10 came at Newman, Sept. 29, 2016.
